This commitment is clearly outlined in UMK Administrative Circular No. 4/2019, which declares that the entire UMK campus both indoor and outdoor is designated as a no-smoking area, effective from the date of issuance. This policy aligns with the Food Act 1983 and the Control of Tobacco Product Regulations (Amendment) 1997 (PU(A) 166-167), which classify all Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia as non-smoking zones.
